Summer Camp Crucible

During the last few days of camp all summer campers undergo a final test known as "The Crucible". This event consists of an initial hike which begins at approximately 4:30 PM. The hike is normally completed at about 5:30 PM and is followed immediately by a series of team problems which run until about 10:00 PM. The campers embark on another hike which runs until 11:30 PM. Following a briefing at the Iwo Jima monument the campers adjourn for the evening.
