Friday, July 27 th, 0800, Drill Evaluation Competition began with a fury. As Cadet Instructors (CI’s) from each platoon sounded the order “FALL IN”, campers scurried to their predetermined position on the paved parking lot surface. Alpha, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Fox and Golf CI’s barked out each move: “RIGHT!”, “LEFT!”, “ABOUT FACE!”, and so on, until the final command, “DIS…..MISSED!” With each command each camper responded …the thud of 60 well-polished boots smacking the pavement in unison could be heard a block away as Commandant SgtMaj Kinsley moved about the squad, ticking off a numerical evaluatory equation for each move executed.

Competition scores were close with one company tieing and another with just a one point spread. Here’s who emerged victorious:

DELTA – ESL 1

ECHO – 801

FOX – 301 & 401 TIE

GOLF – 901
