MMA HOSTS 2 ND ANNUAL NATIONAL MEDIA DAY - OH, WHAT FUN!!!

Marine Military Academy’s (MMA) Summer Camp 2007 hosted the Second Annual National Media Day on Saturday, July 14 th , inviting media—local and national, MMA Alum, and friends of the Academy to join in the camping fun side-by-side with Summer and ESL campers… on board to experience firsthand MMA Summer Camp adventure. And turn out they did…immersed in a brief but intense four-hour synopsis of campers’ experience here at MMA Summer Camp, led by MMA President General Cheney, MMA Superintendent Colonel Hill, Alumni Director Colonel Hobbs, and Military’s Commandant SgtMaj Kinsley. Imagine…on Friday many of these participants maneuvered through the comforts of an air-conditioned office, and on Saturday, July 14 th : totally immersion aboard MMA’s U.S. Marine Corps-styled environment, alongside young men ages 12.5 to 17 learning how to develop self confidence, maximizing physical endurance and mental sharpness, plunging ‘knee-deep’ into intense leadership learning experiences emphasizing fast decision-making, enhancing team-based problem solving capabilities, strengthening rapid and focused leadership techniques—wrapping up with chow in MMA’s Mess…the summer camp experience of a lifetime…OORAH!
