Consider The Marine Military Academy
...

The Rappelling towerIf you’re looking for a boy’s summer camp in Austin, you should consider the Marine Military Academy summer camp in Harlingen, Texas.

Marine Military Academy provides summer camp programs designed around the time-honored traditions of the United States Marine Corps.  We offer a wide variety of fun activities designed to help boys develop their sense of self worth and respect for others.

Boys who attend the Marine Military Academy summer camp learn new skills and build new friendships away from the confines of Austin.

MMA summer camp cadets learn valuable skills in a fun, highly disciplined atmosphere that engenders responsibility.
Your boy will embark on a journey of self discovery as he learns to master our military-style obstacle course and participates in  team sports including “Iron Man” activities. These activities include supervised rifle range and paint ball competitions, a mud course, a fireman’s carry course and many others.

Based on the Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) concept, each of our activities helps to promote mental acuity and physical endurance as well as problem-solving skills, individual responsibility, and leadership.

The Obstacle CourseMarine Military Academy summer camp provides boys with the opportunity to expand their horizons in a variety of areas.
Our summer camp offers a wide variety of team sports designed to build boys’ self confidence and respect for others. The interpersonal skills developed in the team sports environment help our cadets become winners both on and off the field of play.

Our facilities include a full-sized obstacle course and several sports fields where our cadets learn the value of teamwork through fun, friendly competition. Our “Iron Man” activities help develop strong bodies and perseverance as our cadets take on a series of challenges including a mud course, rifle range, paint ball course and other well-supervised activities at locations throughout our campus.

Campers also have the opportunity to push themselves to new heights, literally, on our climbing and rappelling tower. They can also hone their skills and increase their self confidence through safe, supervised competition on our pugil stick course and in our boxing smokers and judo clinics. All activities are overseen by certified, licensed instructors and highly trained, qualified medical personnel.

Our team sports are designed to promote sportsmanship and promote mutual respect between the players, and include softball, flag football, basketball, swimming, dodge ball and volleyball.

While we emphasize discipline and learning, we also realize that summer camp should be a fun experience, so our On the Marchcurriculum includes plenty of non-competitive games in addition to organized activities.
Our staff and instructors are retired and reserve Marines and athletic instructors, all of whom possess years of experience in their given roles. Each is dedicated to serving as an outstanding role model for our cadets.
Our summer camps are organized into companies consisting of between 65 to 70 cadets, and platoons consisting of between 30 and 35 boys. Each company is placed under the care and supervision of retired Marine Staff Non-commissioned Officer who serves as their drill instructor who is dedicated to providing each boy with personalized attention and ensuring that each has a fun and rewarding experience.

Following his summer camp adventure, your boy will return home to Austin equipped with new skills that will serve him well throughout his life.
