Instead of a summer camp in Chicago, why not consider the Marine Military summer camp in Harlingen Texas?  At the MMA summer camp, boys learn valuable skills that help them prepare for success in a highly competitive and challenging world.

Marine Military Academy was founded in 1971 and built upon the time-honored traditions of the U.S. Marine Corps.  In addition to having fun, boys who attend our summer camp learn and grow under the supervision of our highly trained camp staff and instructors – many of whom are retired or reserve Marines.

Our summer camp offers a wide variety of fun and challenging activities that help our campers develop a heightened sense of personal responsibility and respect for themselves and others.

Campers learn sportsmanship and self confidence as they compete in a variety of team sports including flag football, basketball, softball, dodge ball, volley ball and swimming.

Campers learn teamwork and leadership skills as they compete on our “Iron Man” course. This course presents the boys with a series of challenging obstacles that tests their physical coordination and endurance.
We also offer instruction in marksmanship on our rifle range. In addition to improving their shooting skills, the course also teaches self discipline and safety skills.

Paint ball is another fun activity, and our mud course has become a perennial favorite with campers.
All of our activities are designed around the core Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) concept which helps develop the leadership skills every boy needs to become successful on the playing field, in the classroom, and throughout their entire lives.

Our summer camp also features a military-style climbing and rappelling tower where boys develop trust and self confidence as they learn to work as a team.

The camp also features a Marine-style pugil stick pit, and campers develop self confidence while learning basic self defense skills in our boxing smokers and judo instruction.

All of these activities are conducted under the close supervision or our certified, licensed medical personnel and highly trained instructors. At the Marine Military Academy summer camp, the safety and well being of every boy is our primary concern at all times.

Camp instructors and staff are made up of qualified, experienced athletic coaches and reserve and retired Marine military personnel. Each has been selected based on their knowledge, experience and skills, and each has dedicated their career to helping boys become more successful and productive.
