Instead of a boy’s summer camp in Miami, many families are choosing the Marine Military Academy summer camp in Harlingen, Texas, where boys learn valuable new skills that prepare them to succeed in today’s challenging world. 

Founded in 1971, the Marine Military Academy boy’s summer camp is based on time-honored traditions of the U.S. Marine Corps.  Boys who attend our summer camp do more than simply have fun. They also learn and grow under the supervision of our highly trained camp staff and instructors.

Our boy’s summer camp provides campers with fun, challenging activities that develop responsibility and respect for themselves and others.  Among these activities are a wide variety of team sports like flag football, softball, dodge ball, volley ball and swimming.

Activities include our “Iron Man” course which presents campers with a series of challenging obstacles and helps develop their problem solving and leadership skills while building physical coordination and endurance and teaching them to work as part of a team.  Our rifle range teaches discipline and safety skills, and our paint ball competitions and mud course have become perennial favorites.

All of our activities emphasize the military department core Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) concept. The LEAD approach teaches boys self confidence and vital leadership skills they need to become effective and successful on the playing field, in school, and throughout their lives.

MMA boy’s summer camp features a full-sized obstacle course and climbing and rappelling tower which teaches self confidence and challenges campers to persevere and work as a team.

Our pugil stick pit, boxing smokers and judo instruction are fun and instructive, teaching boys the basics of self defense while growing their self confidence and sense of fair play.  

Our certified, licensed medical personnel and highly trained instructors oversee these activities and have each camper’s safety and well being as their primary concern at all times.

Our camp instructors and staff are among the very finest found at any summer camp. Each has been selected based on their experience and skills.  Our instructors are reserve and retired Marine military personnel who have dedicated their careers to helping boys achieve and grow in all aspects of their lives.
